Pruning At Hello Bicycle Cafe

There is a volunteer Canyon Hackberry (Celtis Reticulata) growing in the fence line, which we will be attempting to salvage! We will be cutting a small portion of fence back and making a few structural prunes on the tree to avoid future issues.
We will specifically cover:
- Identifying problematic branches or obstacles
- Goals for pruning trees
- Tips on how to make tricky cuts in tight spaces
- General structural pruning
- Chop-and-drop/mulch
- Tool use and maintenance
We’ll provide:
- hats
- gloves
- water
Make sure to bring your own:
- water bottles
- close toed shoes
- pruners (if you have any)
