There is a volunteer Canyon Hackberry (Celtis Reticulata) growing in the fence line, which we will be attempting to salvage! We will be cutting a small portion of fence back and making a few structural prunes on the tree to avoid future issues.

We will specifically cover:

• Identifying problematic branches or obstacles
• Goals for pruning trees
• Tips on how to make tricky cuts in tight spaces
• General structural pruning
• Chop-and-drop/mulch
• Tool use and maintenance

We’ll provide:

• hats
• gloves
• water

Make sure to bring your own:

• water bottles
• close toed shoes
• pruners (if you have any)
